A documentary that really tells the story of the making of 2001, not just the technical story but the human story, the personal story, the experiences of people who interacted with Kubrick that is really true to the style and look of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Niemand Geringeres als Douglas Trumbull, der US-amerikanische Regisseur und „special effects supervisor“ von Kubricks «2001: A Space Odyssey», führt bei diesem Dokumentarfilm Regie. «Beyond the Infinite – The Making of A Masterpiece» ist der Titel des Films, an dem Trumbull zusammen mit David Larson arbeitet. Letzterer hat jahrelang im Kubrick Archive in London für den Streifen recherchiert. Auf das Ergebnis dieser umfangreichen Arbeit darf man gespannt sein und ich vermute mal, das wird ein sehenswerter Dokumentarfilm. Der Trailer ist jedenfalls schon mal viel versprechend.
